1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using iCost ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

iCost is a food costing management platform that helps food business owners track recipes, manage inventory, calculate costs, and optimize profit margins. The Service includes web and mobile applications, AI-powered recipe search, and related features.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must:

Create an account with accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription and Payments

iCost offers various subscription tiers with different features and limits:

Free Tier: Limited features for personal use
Starter Tier: Extended features for small businesses
Professional Tier: Full features for growing businesses
Enterprise Tier: Custom solutions for large operations

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
Upload malicious code or content
Scrape, data mine, or extract data from the Service
Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
Use the Service to spam or harass others

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by iCost and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your recipes and data remain your property, and you grant us a limited license to use this data solely to provide the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content

Our AI recipe search feature provides suggestions based on your queries. These suggestions are for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content, including pricing estimates, nutritional information, or recipe instructions. Always verify important information independently.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, iCost shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may export your data before termination through our export features.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Metro Manila, Philippines.
